Quality of Life as a Driving Force
Charting a path toward authentic connections with others, across all divisions and borders
Person to Person presents an environment built on follow-through, autonomy, and person-to-person coordination. It begins with you as an individual, moves toward collaborative relationships, and proposes the financial architecture that became the Commitment Economy. This book is the intellectual foundation for the Commitment Economy, written before anyone had named it.

What if we lived in a world that revolved around quality of life, rather than economic winners and losers?
What if you could step out of the culture of blame and victimhood into a reality that gives you freedom and agency to pursue your own path? This isn't utopian fantasy, it's a practical guide to building person-to-person relationships and collaborative structures that transform both your life and the world around you.
What You'll Discover:
How to break free from isolation and polarization toward authentic connections across all divisions
Practical tools for building collaborative relationships grounded in commitment and follow-through
A financial framework where capital circulates rather than extracts. The seed of what became Circulatory Finance
Real-world applications through the story of four college students navigating these concepts
The Journey:
Follow Jake, Leon, Lana, and Alex—four fictional college students who illustrate Person to Person concepts as they interact in their dorms and on campus. Their narrative reminds you that all humans have the power to create a better world: one that is richly satisfying, deeply connected, and truly free.
What Readers and Thought Leaders Are Saying
"A long time ago, when I was a youngster, I read Pirsig's Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. It introduced a Metaphysics of Quality, which aimed to go beyond the subject/object split that stood at the birth of our modern times and has eventually left Western people splintered into many pieces. A healing of the split between the individual, the community, and the society at large is more needed than ever. "

Finally a book that highlights the need to break free of the economic, social, and governmental systems we're in, toward an opt-in environment that would allow for a radical new way of cooperation.

The prose isn't awash in spiritual lingo or abstract ideas of personal revolution or
betterment. As such, the theories presented here will speak to many different minds, from a wide variety of social classes and belief structures.

Joeri Torfs
Joeri Torfs has spent his career as an entrepreneur, software developer, and enterprise architect, building structure from chaos and regularly challenging the status quo. He advocates freedom, self-agency, and person-to-person coordination.

Pim Ampe
Pim Ampe is a therapist with extensive experience in the mental health and welfare sector. Before Anyone Named It
Person to Person was published in 2022, two years before the Commitment Economy framework existed. It articulated the thesis that follow-through and individual commitments would become the primary drivers of successful collaboration. The Collaborative model, the stewardship-over-ownership principle, and the circulatory financial architecture all originated here.
Read it as the origin story of what QOL.World is building.
