Collaboratives

Form the Unit That Builds the Commitment Economy

Where Individual Autonomy Meets Shared Commitments

You can coordinate without hierarchy, without corporate structure, and without giving up your autonomy. A Collaborative is how people in the Commitment Economy organise around shared Commitments and real accountability.

Explore How Collaboratives Work

Design Your Collaborative

You can create a coordination structure that protects individual autonomy while binding everyone to shared Commitments. In a Collaborative Agreement you'll establish clear decision-making, a shared compass, and structured approaches for navigating Tensions as they arise. This is a living document you build together.

What becomes possible:

Clarity without hierarchy

You know your Commitments, the shared purpose, and how decisions happen

Structured rhythm

Commitment Sessions keep alignment strong and Contribution Sessions keep reward distibution fair

Act together while keeping agency

You maintain autonomy within agreements you've designed together

Turn Tension into evolution

Structured approaches for converting friction into system improvement

Traditional hierarchy vs Collaborative coordination

Form Your Collaborative

Step 1
Explore: Who Are We?

You start by discovering what each person brings. You surface your individual essence, strengths, what matters to each of you, and what kind of Collaborative you want to form. Grounded in real identity, not roles assigned by a hierarchy.

Step 2
Agree: What do we commit to?

You design your Collaborative Agreement together. This becomes the foundation that protects everyone's autonomy while binding the group to shared Commitments and measurable consequence.

Step 3
Commit: We're building this together

You engage in regular Commitment Sessions and Contribution Sessions. Commitment Sessions maintain alignment and identity. Contribution Sessions track follow-through and accountability. Together they keep the Collaborative honest.

Your Collaborative Agreement

A living compass centered around your partnership with three key elements:

02
Impact

What you're creating together

01
Motivation

Why this work matters to each of you

03
Approach

How you'll create it

You use this compass to evaluate opportunities and navigate changes as you progress.

Access Sovereign Assets Through Your Collaborative

You can access and operate shared resources such as buildings, land, tools, or infrastructure, held in stewardship by the Foundation, not owned by anyone. Your Collaborative gets rights of use through rental agreements. The assets stay non-capturable.

When your Collaborative is ready, you operate these resources without ownership burdens, creating spaces where your work flourishes while the infrastructure permanently serves everyone who built it.

Your Collaborative Agreement provides the accountability structure that makes this stewardship possible.

Sustainable revenue opportunities through the use of Sovereign Assets

Generate income while providing value to broader communities

Connection to a global network of Collaboratives
